About Me

Hi! I'm Rachel, and first and foremost I want to thank you for taking me into consideration on your search for support. I continue to be humbled each time that I am welcomed into the lives, homes, and the sacred space of birth that families have invited me into. The magnitude of that privilege is not lost on me.

I am a Certified Full-Spectrum Doula and Lactation Counselor, serving families in the greater Capital Region and Southern Vermont. I have also had the honor of serving over two hundred families since 2017 as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for Saratoga County WIC.

In addition to my credentials, I have brought earth-side four babes of my own and am continuing to learn and grow alongside the families I serve.

I have the privilege of working in a field that I am very passionate about and which brings me great joy. Being pregnant, giving birth, and being in the postpartum period can be a beautiful, transformative and empowering experience. Parents deserve to have someone who believes in them, supports them, and holds a safe space where they can be introspective and trust and believe in themselves. Ultimately, it was this core principle that led me to pursue the soul-work I do today.

Since becoming a CLC, then Doula, I have built meaningful relationships with families from all walks of life, and I have a deeper recognition of the value and significance of the life event that is the childbearing year. I believe that all women have the innate power and wisdom to birth and nourish their own babies in the manner and environment that they feel is best for them.

Wherever you are on your journey, thank you for stopping in to learn a little bit about me.
